Paola De Pietri (Reggio Emilia, 1960)

graduated at DAMS, University of Bologna. The artist starts working with photography starting from the Nineties. She was commissioned several public projects – from the territory observation to the reflection on social dynamics. Paola De Pietri’s photographs come from a deep analysis of the landscape, both urban and natural. From the first series of photographs, she works on the relationship between man and space in its temporal dynamics and in a continuous reflection on impermanence.

The artist displays in several solo and group shows, in Italy and abroad. We recall the exhibitions at: Galleria d’Arte Moderna, Bologna; Fotomusem Winterthur, Winterthur; Museum of Contemporary Art, Shanghai; Museo di Fotografia Contemporanea, Cinisello Balsamo; LE BAL, Paris; MAXXI, Rome; La Triennale di Milano, Milan; Leopold Museum, Vienna; Mart, Rovereto; MAST, Bologna; BOZAR, Bruxelles; Museion, Bolzen; Multimedia Art Museum, Moscow; Die Photographische Sammlung, Cologne. In 2023 she participates in DongGang International Photo Festival, Yeongwol.
